About WorldBest IPO

An independent Indian IPO & GMP tracker. Here is exactly who we are, where our numbers come from, and how we keep ourselves honest.

Who runs this site

WorldBest IPO is an independent publication run by a small team of markets researchers, finance writers and web developers based in India. We are not owned by, affiliated with, or sponsored by any stockbroker, merchant banker, registrar, listed company or grey-market operator. Nobody on the team is a SEBI-registered investment adviser or research analyst, and we do not manage money for anyone.

We built this site because Indian retail investors researching an IPO typically have to juggle five tabs — a GMP tracker, the exchange website, the registrar's allotment page, the red herring prospectus (RHP) and a news site. WorldBest IPO puts the essentials in one dashboard: live grey market premium, open and upcoming mainboard and SME issues, allotment links and listing performance.

Our mission

Help retail investors make calmer, better-informed IPO decisions by presenting the data plainly — with its limitations clearly labelled. That means three commitments:

  • Show the caveat with the number. Every GMP figure on this site is labelled as unofficial grey-market data. Where a price band, lot size or date is unconfirmed, we show "—" rather than guessing.
  • No hype. You will never read "sure-shot listing gains" here. GMP is a sentiment indicator, not a prediction, and we say so on every page that shows it.
  • Education first. Our guides explain GMP, the UPI/ASBA application process, SME vs mainboard differences and allotment mechanics so you can interpret the data yourself.

Editorial standards

  • Two-source rule. Price bands, issue sizes, dates and subscription figures are cross-checked against at least two independent sources (for example, a GMP tracker plus an exchange notice or business daily) before publication. When two sources conflict, we either flag the conflict in the notes or leave the field blank.
  • Visible freshness stamps. Every page that shows market numbers carries a "Data as of" stamp drawn from our dataset, so you always know how old the figures are. The current dataset stamp is shown at the bottom of this section.
  • Banned vocabulary. Our style guide prohibits words like "guaranteed", "sure-shot", "risk-free" and "confirmed profit" anywhere on the site.
  • Separation of money and editorial. Advertising and affiliate partners have no input into which IPOs we cover, what GMP we publish, or what our guides say. Affiliate links are marked rel="nofollow sponsored".
  • Corrections within 48 hours. If you spot a wrong number, email us (see Contact) with the IPO name, the field in question and a source link. Verified corrections are published within two working days, faster for open issues.

Data sourcing policy

Different data points on this site come from different classes of source, and we treat them with different levels of confidence:

  • Grey Market Premium (GMP): compiled from established grey-market trackers, primarily IPO Watch (ipowatch.in), cross-checked against other trackers where accessible. GMP has no official source — it is an over-the-counter, unregulated market — so these figures are inherently approximate and can differ between trackers on the same day.
  • Issue details (dates, price band, lot size, issue size): from offer documents (DRHP/RHP) filed with SEBI, exchange notices on BSE and NSE, and company announcements, cross-checked with broker platforms and IPO aggregators.
  • Subscription and allotment data: from BSE/NSE live subscription pages and the IPO registrars — KFin Technologies, MUFG Intime India (formerly Link Intime) and Bigshare Services.
  • Listing prices and index levels: from exchange data as reported by the mainstream business press (Business Standard, Business Today, Outlook Business and similar) and broker research pages.

The dataset is refreshed on working days, typically by evening IST after grey-market trackers publish their end-of-day updates. Where our source itself flags uncertainty — for example, an unannounced price band or conflicting figures between aggregators — we carry that uncertainty through to the page instead of papering over it.

What we are not

  • We are not SEBI-registered investment advisers under the SEBI (Investment Advisers) Regulations, 2013, and not registered research analysts under the SEBI (Research Analysts) Regulations, 2014.
  • We do not give buy/sell/apply recommendations, stock tips, target prices or portfolio advice — on the site, by email, or on any messaging platform. Anyone soliciting payments in our name is an impersonator.
  • We do not facilitate, broker or encourage grey-market transactions. We report GMP as a market-sentiment data point only.
  • We do not handle your money, your demat account or your applications. IPO applications happen through your own SEBI-registered broker or bank.

How the site is funded

WorldBest IPO is free to use. We earn revenue in two ways: display advertising (ad slots you see between sections) and affiliate commissions when readers open a demat account through a partner broker link. Affiliate links never change a broker's position or rating in our comparisons, and using them costs you nothing extra. Details are in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
